2010 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Gala
The 9th edition of this event was co-chaired by P&G, GE Aviation, and Cincinnati State Technical & Community College. Target was to raise $100,000 and under the leadership of GE Aviation's Ricardo Acevedo the team raised $158,000!

2010 African American Chamber's B2B Expo
In May of 1999, Cathy Hughes and her son Alfred Liggins (President & CEO) took their company public. Hughes made history again by becoming the first African American woman with a company on the
stock exchange. Radio One’s value is currently in excess of $2 Billion. The Washington Post describes Hughes as “the Voice of the Black community.” Her stations now reach more than 18 million black
listeners daily.
2010 LULAC Gala 09-18-2010
Antonio Muñiz-Olán was honored last year as the Business Person of the Year. This year's honorees included: Marilyn Zayas-Davis, Mark Curnutte, Mireika Kobayashi, Dan Groneck, and our dear friends Dr. Gregory Stewart, Congressman Steve Driehaus, Margaret Singer, and H. A. Musser, Jr. UC Health was also honored with the Hispanic Servicing Institution Award.
The keynote address was delivered by Jose Diaz-Balart, News Anchor and National Director of Public Affairs for Telemundo Network News.

Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA's 2009 Gala
Over 400 people attended this annual event. The program included remarks from Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory and a great performance by Danza Contigo Peru. Six local university students where awarded HCCUSA scholarlships that evening. The keynote address was delivered by the Hon. Luis Valdivieso, Peruvian Ambassador to the US.
2009 Annual Gala - South Central Ohio Minoriy Supplier Development Council (SCOMSDC)
Gold Rush was the theme of this year's gala. Deerfield Insurance Group, certified as a Minority Business Enterprise by SCOMSDC, was once again an active participant in this important event. Tavis Smiley, Media Icon & Philanthropist delivered the keynote address.
2009 Toyota Opportunity Exchange
As a certified MBE Deerfield Insurance Group/Muñiz & Associates LLC continues our participation in the Toyota Opportunity Exchange. This Tradeshow and Conference is intended to build lasting business relationships between Toyota’s Tier I suppliers and MBEs. The invocation was delivered by the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Earvin "Magic" Johnson was the keynote speaker.

4th Annual NuWay Bianu
We are honored and priviledged to have been part of this year's NuWay Bianu -- A Coming Together. Evans and Cathy Nwankwo along with the NuWay Foundation Board of Directors created an amazing evening of cultural food, music, and performances.

Members of Deerfield Insurance Group attended a private reception aboard La Pinta and La Niña with a group of distinguished business leaders.
Representatives from LULAC, Bridges for a Just Community, P&G, PNC Bank, MidwestLatino.com, Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA, Fox 19, and others were in attendance.
La Niña is the Most Historically Accurate Columbus Replica Ship Ever Built. La Pinta was recently built in Brazil to accompany the Niña on all of her travels. She is a larger version of the archetypal caravel and while an accurate replica she was build using modern building methods.
2009 Forty Under 40 Awards Luncheon
As a member of the Business Courier's Forty Under 40 class of 2007 Antonio had the honor of being one of the judges for this year's class.
This year's 40 honorees were indeed an accomplished group and included 4 of our very close friends and business associates: Julie Bernzott (Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber), Charmaine Moore (Cincinnati Opera), Myron Rivers (African American Chamber of Commerce), and David Willbrand (Thompson Hine LLP).
